Bogey

Bogey is an absolutely adorable member of our sanctuary. Bogey came to us through Central Virginia Horse Rescue, who in turn saved him from Camelot Auction. He is very quiet and sweet, and can be a little shy in the beginning.

Bogey was clearly mistreated as a young horse, so he needs to have a personal relationship with his handler. It might take him a little while to warm up, but once he does, he is a complete love bug. Bogey bathes, clips, ties and loves treats.

Bogey went through extensive training and mastered the skill set for trail riding after a few months. However, it is our belief that Bogey will be happier as a companion for both horses and humans, and to simply be loved on from the ground. His past seems to have deeply affected him in a way that can make him unpredictable to ride, through no fault of his own.

Bogey is the ultimate sport horse babysitter, and will stay with us at the farm in Keswick. He is quiet and gets along with all horses in the field, and can be a great calming influence on other horses.
