Viola is the daughter of Fiona Appaloosa, and was born here on the farm. Sadly, as many horses are, Viola was the victim of indiscriminate breeding and suffered from several physiological compromises.

 

While a joy to be around and very attractive with her splashy markings, Viola had a severe club foot that made her unsafe to ride due to balance issues. She was always a very self assured lady, and got along with all other horses easily. Viola will always be remembered for the kindness and compassion she showed her fellow herd mates.

 

Viola lived in the herd with the working rescues until 2015, when she was humanely euthanized due to complications with her club foot that greatly compromised her quality of life.
